Ton of Fun

SAM_6994

My sister in law celebrated her 60th birthday last week at a wonderful outdoor party held at my niece’s. We had a ton of fun, and that’s about what this card weighed once it was finished. The card was a great source of laughs and conversation.

Sixty little pebble stones were glued to cardstock then the card assembled with the saying “60 rocks” inside. It took forever for the glue to dry, almost a full week.

At the party, my brother in  law says…”hey, there is only 59”….

I was tempted to go and count them all again, but I know there was 60 there. You count them, make sure!

Wedding Shower wrappings

SAM_6662

Wow, I should go into business…..first my daughter, then my sister….

“Do you think you can help me wrap this nicely?”

Dear daughter had a lovely bridal book and gift card, but had no idea how to wrap it up…..how about a little wedding dress from a doily plus why not wrap a wedding garter around the book as well just to finish the look.

Then Sis had a gorgeous salad set with servers in a fabulous box, but the dilemma was an existing  label on top of the box……so let’s hide it with a wedding cake……delicious right?

I should charge by the hour!

Good things come in 3's

These turned out really nice. I love my Stampin Up Card classes. I always come home with the most beautiful cards thanks to Cindy. We meet once a month and make 2 or 3 projects using the latest techniques and stamps. These 3 are my favorite so far. The Mother card came in handy this month as my mom celebrated her 85th birthday.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter everyone.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday with family and friends. This little goodie holder is so sweet and so easy to make using supplies from Stampin Up. We made this cutie patootie at my card class this week. It's going to be a perfect treat for my grandson who is eighteen months.  I can't believe the fabulous ideas crafters come up with... truly amazing sometimes.

Hallmark, eat your heart out

These are my latest cards that were made at the Stampin Up club class that I take once a month.  Cindy Custers is the demonstrator that teaches us all our tricks and we have so much fun at the class. You make 3 cards when you attend and you can purchase all the latest and greatest that Stampin Up has to offer. They have just come out with a whole line of sewing themed goodies, and I can't wait to order them.

You can never have too many cards

These are the cards I made at my January card class. They are simple but effective and with four kids the stash comes in handy. There is always one of them asking for a card for a friend, or a thank you, or a birthday and I like that they ask and that they are going to good use. These cards are made with Stampin Up materials and tools and our demonstrator Cindy is great. I love going to the class, getting creative and being able to socialize with the other ladies. It's a fun night out.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Everyone!
This is the perfect card, don't you think for quilters and sewers? My niece Jennifer made it and sent it to me for Christmas. I think she knew how much I would appreciate the sewing theme.

Christmas themed card club

Each month I join in a Stampin Up Card club class and we make 3 projects in an evening. It's a great deal of fun and the projects are themed to the season and of course with winter and Christmas upon us we made these delightful projects.
The top two are nice Christmas cards using different techniques which is always fun to learn something new. The bottom one is a Christmas note book which will come in very handy to make to do lists or jot down notes.

Paper, scissors, glue...oh my!

These are the latest cards I made at my monthly Stampin Up Club class. I have so much fun at this class. I love the techniques we learn and the choices Cindy makes for the paper and co-ordinates. It's a great way to have a social night out with the girls, be creative and accumulate a good selection of cards for giving.

A different kind of stash

Once a month I attend a Stampin Up Club.....it's so much fun and you come home with some terrific cards and little projects that you make in an evening. It's a great way to build up a stash of cards for all occasions. It's nice to have them available when a birthday or anniversary comes up that you've forgotten. It has saved me many times. These are last month's projects. Two Christmas cards...it's never to early to build your stash of these, and a lovely congratulations card...so much fun to create

The little monkey turns one

I can't believe that the little monkey turns one in a month. Our grandson Ayden is having his first birthday...where did that year go. My daughter asked me to make his invitations as she couldn't find anything she really liked at the stores. His parents decided that his birthday party would be a Halloween theme as it's so close to the 31st.
I used my new Stampin Up Sock Monkey set and hand colored the wagon, hat and monkey. I had to use my "stamp a ma jig" to get the monkey lined up properly in the wagon. I even stamped a little banana on the envelopes. We are rather partial to the sock monkey as Ayden's nursery was all done in the sock monkey theme. Everything from the quilt, to the change table cover to the pictures on the wall were sock monkeys, so it seems natural that his invitations would be that theme as well. Can't wait it should be so much fun!

Stampin Up Fun

Once a month I get excited, (I do get excited more than once a month), but really excited because it's my Card Club night. I attend the home, along with several other card club junkies, of a talented "Stampin Up" demonstrator, Cindy Custers. http://www.stampfxwithcindy.com/
We have a great time making cards with new techniques, tools, stamps, papers and ink. It's a great night out, really relaxing and tons of fun. It's a great social outlet and I come home with 3 new cards completed every month. These are the lovelies I made tonight.
